Great but could be fantastic

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I’m an athletic-curvy gal and ordered a medium. The look is fantastic. They hug in the bum area and are slightly loose in the thigh. They are a slight squeeze to get over the bum, but once they’re up they have some give and wiggle room. There is no stretch in the shorts at all (except for the waist which has slight stretch to it). Prana definitely stuck with the vintage stiff feel to go along with the vintage style. I really like them but they would be 5 stars if they had some stretch to the fabric.

Item returned because order arrived late

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I ordered these shorts for a vacation, but they arrived late, and because I was paying full price and not able to enjoy them on my trip, I returned them unopened. So, I am not able to offer an opinion of the product, just the fact that BackCountry uncharacteristically let me down with shipping on a full price item.

Great Shorts, love the style!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These shorts remind me of the ones I wore as a kid in the 90s and I love the mix of patterns. They are comfortable and light. I would recommend! Two things to note: (1) the cinching strap is offset and hangs down a few inches when I tighten them so it's always visible, and (2) the shorts seem to run a bit big, but I think that's just the fit. For reference I am 5' 10", 175 lbs and wear a size medium (mens). The medium shorts are loose fitting but I can easily tighten them in the waist to get the right fit. Overall really like these shorts from Prana!

LOVE THESE

i was looking for an all around short to wear climbing, kayaking or just to work and i was stoked to find these. i got the dark sky pattern and it's such a cool throwback piece! from prana's website, i've seen some reviews about the fit being boxier and heavily leaning towards the men's sizing/fit and that it looks like the shorts have been altered for the woman model; i have some answers here!! i got a small and a medium because i was in between sizes; the key factor here (which they don't share on any of the size charts) is that the small is a 4" inseam and the medium (and i assume above) is a 5" inseam. for reference, i'm 5'1" and about 155 pounds and am usually a size medium bottom; i ultimately decided on the small because i liked the fit better and it was more flattering. the medium, was in fact, more boxier. hope this helps!!
