Why We Like The Patagonia R2 TechFace Fleece Jacket
Warm, breathable, water and wind-resistant, and stylish, what more could you want from a technical mid-layer? The R2 TechFace Fleece Jacket is a rugged update on Patagonia's performance-oriented, mid-weight R2 Fleece, and we are big fans. The original R2 offered stretch and moisture management to dry quickly when sweating on a rigorous alpine climb. So Patagonia updated this version with a TechFace exterior that's highly water and wind-resistant to shed light snowfall when you're backcountry touring.

I really like pretty much everything about this jacket and wear it almost every day. One of the few things I don't like is the length of the sleeves. Granted I am short and got a larger size the normal so I can layer with a merino wool shirt and a flannel underneath, and it runs a little slim like the description says. The inside material of the jacker is a pet hair magnet. Other than these two things I really enjoy everything else about the jacket. Nice and breathable but still keeps a decent level or warmth with it being such a thin mid layer.
