Why We Like The Outdoor Research Ferrosi Joggers
Mobility is the name of the game with the Ferrosi Joggers from Outdoor Research, They feature the famous Ferrosi fabric, a nylon-stretch blend that's dialed in for climbing, hiking, running, and training, thanks to its wind and water resistance, breathability, and movement-mirroring stretch. The jogger-style Ferrosi features a tapered calf with internal elastic at the ankles to see our feet when we're climbing or scrambling, a harness-compatible waist, and a semi-tailored, articulated cut that maximizes our freedom of movement when we're living our active lifestyle.

Already heavily pilling after a few wears
I really loved these at first as a great casual or light technical pant, but they're already pilling everywhere after washing them 2-3 times. Way too expensive for these to be so cheaply made. Bummed that OR seems to be going downhill in quality.

This fabric is not durable
I wanted to love these. I love the fit and feel of these joggers. However, the fabric is not durable at all. I've worn them only two times and as another reviewer noted, they pill badly. On the first wear I only wore them casually and I noticed some pilling on the thighs. The next time I wore them on a short hike with my dog and there was a bad area of pilling extending from the seam by my left pocket out onto the top of my bum. I'm not even sure what would have rubbed there. They are now essentially ruined as they look too awful to wear casually now and will continue to get worse if I use them in situations that is hard on the pants.

Been looking for a pant to replace leggings
Love these. Love the fit, fabric and style. I usually wear leggings hiking but wanted something more durable and still flexible. These fit the bill perfectly. I'm 5'5", 155. lb and got a medium. They are a little baggy but not too bad. I like them a bit more flowy.

The absolute comfiest, but not at all durable
I was so excited to try these pants! I am on a trip in Nevada and bought these for the trip. The pants were so wonderfully comfortable for the plane ride. I wore these for our hike through Red Rock Canyon as well. That was the first adventure that these pants saw. I sat on the red rocks, never dragged my butt. The entire surface of the butt is thinning and the fabric is pilled. For such an expensive pair of pants, I am incredibly saddened. I was really looking forward to them.

Please make these in short sizes!
These pants are perfect for all sorts of outdoor pursuits! But I'm 5'2" and these pants are just too long for me. Please consider carrying short sizes. Thanks!

THESE ARE ALL I'VE EVER WANTED AND MORE
Finally, the absolute perfect pair of pants!! I am so excited! I have long been obsessed with the Ferrosi fabric, and joggers are my favorite style of pants. They are legitimately the most comfortable and functional pants I've ever owned and I hope they make so many more colors. I fluctuate between the 16 and 16W sizes in the regular Ferrosi pants, and the XL in the joggers fit me perfectly. I could also probably wear the XXL but they'd be significantly looser than the model in the pic and I like them a little form fitting. I would say to size down if you're in between sizes unless you want them baggy. The drawstring waist is so comfy and non-restrictive, and the cuffs hit right at the ankle of my 5'10" frame. They are the perfect amount of stretchy but hold their shape, they're super breathable and water resistant, and honestly more comfortable than most of my pajama pants! Way to go OR!
