Why We Like The Talon 22L Backpack
The Talon 22L from Osprey is our multi-sport backpack of choice for fast and light excursions. The BioStretch harness moves with us as we bomb down trails in the Wasatch and as we fastpack our way across the Pacific Northwest. The AirScape backpanel helps keep us cool while we push our limits. Plus, convenient features like helmet, ice axe, and trekking pole attachments that free up space in the pack and our hands help make the decision to bring this pack along easier every time.

One major flaw
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Great pack except it’s super difficult, next to impossible, to stuff a full, 3 liter bladder into the external bladder pocket. If I’d have known that, I would never have purchased this pack. Osprey is aware of this problem and yet they continue selling this model without letting consumers know about the problem.

A go to gift for my brother!
- Familiarity:
- I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I am super familiar with the Talon Series from Osprey, because for years now, the women's version, Tempest, has been my "grab and go" for outdoor adventures. The men's Talon series hugs close to your body with it's stretch mesh harness and molded backpanel. This pack is for the user who appreciates lights weight, but still need a comfortable and capable carry. The fit is dialed and adjustable, and I often forget that I am wearing my Tempest! Lots of volumes to choose from, but each features Osprey's Talon and Tempest AirScape suspension system for outstanding carry. My brother is on his 2nd Talon, having had the Talon 11 in the past! You will love this pack!

Looks like a good pack, but too small
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it

- S/M

For my height and measurements, I am a S/M; when the pack arrived the fit was too small. I have an athletic build but jumping up to the L/XL concerned me that size would not sit correctly on my hips. The other concerning factor was the waist belt is a lot thinner than I was used to. I chose to switch up to the Osprey Stratos 24L, which is an outstanding pack and fits perfectly (separate review). If the Talon 22L fits, I am sure it would be a great pack. I am a fan of Osprey and own other packs of theirs and feel they have earned their spot as an industry leader. With the variety in the Osprey line up, you are sure to find a quality pack that fits you and your needs.
