Perfect travel bag
My wife and I wanted something for an upcoming trip to Disney world to put our rain jackets, water and snacks in. This pack was perfect, it folds up small enough to put in our luggage and was comfortable enough to wear all day every day. There is plenty of storage for day trips. We got the blaze orange one so it was easier to find each other in the crowds of people. Also I will be using it on my upcoming scouting trips for hunting season! Perfect all around bag.

Lightweight
My new favorite: lightweight, lots of storage, comfortable and stylish.

My favorite travel day pack
This day-pack is my favorite, I've used it for for traveling in Europe, Australia, and elsewhere. One of the best features is that it folds into its own front pocket, which I absolutely love for plane travel. Yet it's huge when you need it to be, and cinches small when you only have minimal things to carry. The backpack offers plenty of storage and has space for a bladder, as well as a bottle. It's incredibly lightweight, possessing all the right features you need without any unnecessary extras. Just a thoughtful design...

Nothing like the photos
The color is so different than the lilac it was supposed to be on the photos that I am disappointed. It is rather grey than lilac. If I would have known, I would have picked a different color. :-(

Does everything a jansport does, but worse.
I've been using this daily for 3 years and here are my takeaways. - The straps have a suggestion of padding but it doesn't do anything. They're not at all rigid and frequently get twisted up. - The top pocket is just big enough for a protein bar and keys, not much more. - Too small for most things, but also too big for use in the city (you might as well get a fanny pack or a bigger backpack). - the mesh rips easily. - the elastic on top of the water bottle pocket is too strong and thick, it makes it so you can't easily get a water bottle in/out of there. Also too small for a nalgene. - the mesh pocket on the front fits a nalgene, but then you lose use of that pocket. - the novelty of having a stowable backpack fades as soon as you realize that the chances of you using the backpack for that purpose are next to zero, unless you're specifically looking for a backpack with these features. - the synch straps are awkwardly placed and hard to tighten/loosen. - there's plenty of places to put stuff on the outside of the backpack, but when it comes to actually putting anything there it just doesn't work really well. This backpack is pretty much built to not be used, or to make it look like you go outside when you really don't.

Best Small Pack!
This is definitely the best 19 liter pack there is! I bought this for day-hikes, and it is well worth the price. If you are looking for a small pack, I would definitely tell you to buy this one!

Nice bag but color way off
Bought this from their website as "grey". This bag is for you if you really like green instead. Maybe they should photoshop a little less on the images on their website.

Versatile, Packable and Comfortable
I own four or five day packs, each of which has a specific mission. I typically travel with one or another as a carry-on with my laptop, book and small electronics. Keeping my aging back happy transiting airports and at my destination always presents challenges. Carrying business stuff—better still, recreational gear—is a complicated metric that involves the weight of the gear, the weight of the pack itself and the quality of the suspension. No matter what I actually carry on or check, I've taken to stuffing the In and Out 19 in my luggage for use at my destinations when light is important. It's a breath of air when I don't need to haul too much around. My only issue with it—and with many day packs—is the absence of a hip strap or belt. With a troublesome back, it's always great to be able to get some weight off my shoulders and onto my hips. Otherwise, it's an excellent choice for a featherweight pack-along bag. The shoulder straps are comfortable and it's great to not have to consider the weight of the bag.

Quality, lightweight day pack
Great pack for day long adventures. My only wish is that it had two water bottle sleeves. one on each side. Love how light it is without sacrificing the typical Mystery Ranch quality

My Favorite Backpack
I have had my pack for nearly five years and use it multiple times a week as a purse, carry on, and carry-all for adventures like day hikes, themes park days, multi-mile dog beach treks, and more. It has been to multiple countries and climates, and is comfortable even when stuffed to the gills and heavy. I keep it packed with warming layers, hat, shemagh/shawl, sunglasses, knitting project, water, sunscreen, sometimes dog essentials like water and the bubbles wand, wipes, snacks, and whatever else I think I may need for the adventure. The outside water pouch is large enough for my Nalgene but I normally keep the items like sunscreen, bug lotion, and hand sanitizer in that pouch and keep my water bottle inside the pack. I am so happy with the quality and the way the pack has stood up to my not-so-gentle care! I recently ordered my second 19L and a second 22L . I love that this tiny little pile of fabric that fits in your hand turns into such a wonderful day pack.

Will a platypus big zip evo hydration bladder fit the reservoir pocket?
September 24, 2021
Hydration reservoirs come in different shapes even with the same capacity. Will the In and Out 19 hold a hydration reservoir that is 9 in wide and 17.2 in tall? In other words, will a short and wide 3L hydration reservoir fit in the In and Out 19?

Washing instructions ?

I read the Hydration Pocket is 9" X 6". Can you recommend a water system that fits into those dimensions? Most of the ones I have found do not, but because this bag is well designed, I assume there is one that fits. Please, suggestions?

What are the dimensions of the hydration reservior pocket? Could it hold a small laptop or tablet?

Can I add a hip belt? If this bag had a detachable hip belt I would purchase in a flash.

If the side water bottle pocket was larger I’d buy this immediately. So many complaints on that. Is there a version of this bag with a larger water bottle pocket? To fit a Nalgene bottle perhaps?
