very comfortable, ready for anything
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Medium
Yeah this is what I want in a fleece layer that is ready for the outdoors. Kind of a "just right" temp, lightweight but easy to get warm in. Comfortable hood and well-designed thumbholes (with a long enough sleeve), features I always go for. Yes this is a slimmer, if TTS cut (the kind of thing that if I sized up I'd be swimming in), I get a single layer underneath, and have also snuck a nano-air vest in too.

Color is off
Comfortable fleece, but heads up the blue one reeeeeaaaally purple, to the point where calling it blue is a bit of a misrepresentation. The photos online don’t do it justice. In fact, I don’t know how they managed to get the jacket to look that way without photoshop.

The Mountain Hardwear Polartec Power Grid Full Zip Hoody is a versatile, high quality, Warm, breathable Jacket similar to Alpha Direct fleece except unlike Alpha Direct Fleece it doesn’t bleed harmful chemicals when it’s washed and it’s a much more durable fabric.

Almost perfect
Very comfortable and good overall fit. With one minor improvement would be 5 stars. The arms are too long and a little too slim but not enough to complain about.

Ok
A little too clingy. Fits more like a sock. Not great but ok.

Fit is off and missing the old fabric
Definitely not the same as the older version. Bring it back!

Perfect layering component!
I'm very happy with this layer! I'm sold on the grid technology and will be worn or in my pack on every shoulder season trip in the future. Perfect fit.

Daily wear comfort that looks good.
Stretchy and warm, a great fitting jacket. I wear it daily. I'm 6'2", 220lbs with a muscular build and I wear an XL.

Love this thing.
Man, this thing is awesome. Perfect temperature range for what I was hoping for and a lot more comfortable than I was expecting. Recently had it on for the first leg of a 14 mile day hike and it reduced the amount of layer changing on the hike to zero. Little tight on the forearms, but not noticable if you're just wearing a base under it. Would wear it non stop if I wasn't a slob.
