This is my favorite sun hoodie. I own a total of 4 from 3 different manufacturers. Although the fabric seems slightly thicker than other brands, it feels around the same temperature in the sun. The thicker fabric has the benefit of being less clingy and revealing of every tiny bump and hair. The color accent at the bottom is a nice touch. The little pocket is handy, especially when bicycling. The hood volume is slightly less than with other brands, making it better for use when cycling. One weird negative issue is the shoulder seam. They stick out and cause my shoulders to look artificially square. I wish the orange-red color was a brick red instead. But that's a personal preference.

Right Size and Right Weight for Summer Hike in Variable Weather

I bought the Sombra Sun Hoodie for use as a light outer layer for my summer vacation to Yellowstone. The morning low temperatures were inthe low 50s and the daytime high temperatures were in the low to mid 80s. This was the perfect hoodie for these variable temperatures. The fit was just right.

Light, nice fit, breathable

This is my first sub hoodie. I tried another brand and I was heavier and overheats me. So I came back to buy this one in multiple colors. I use it as a substitute for sunscreen, since as a swimmer and lifeguard growing up I’m over the smell of sunscreen. The fit is great. My torso is a bit longer than the average person and I tend to have trouble with mid-drift, but not with these. Love the colors!

Hi This is a lovely piece…but ….hot… maybe in fall but i was sweating walking in low 80’s dry california heat… Im sorry but i cant recommend

Excellent fabric and feel

I wanted something to wer in cooler weather in the summer. The fabric of this garment is perfect for that.

Sombra Sun Hoodie XXL Deep Ocean

Gave this as a gift to my brother who is in his early 70’s. He loves it. I told him he is one of the “Cool Kids” now. The color looks great with his white hair. The fit is great. The only wish I have is that there was a place on the order, where one could mark as a gift and send a message, other than that, my family loves Cotopaxi. We all have your packs and other apparel.

Great in Zion Narrows

Hiked four hours in the Virgin River through the Narrows on a sunny 100 degree day. It kept me cool and no sunburn at all. Was very comfortable and still looks like new

My family all has one, 3 males but will need one for my daughter in law. Would love to see some new fun colors. Would try medium next time for me but like it a little large and it is not so long. Lot's of compliments!
