pretty good
Worked well while canoeing and portaging. Only negative is that it did not pack easily for me.

No rain yet
I really like the fit and look of the jacket. The fabric is very nice and lightweight, exactly what I wanted. I haven’t needed it as a rain jacket yet but I’m heading into the Boundary Waters tomorrow, hoping I won’t need it as rain gear.

Great light weight shell
Nice design features and good jacket for quick day hikes or rainy city days. Love the Octane colourway - can’t be missed in the fog!!

A great stowaway shell
I purchased the orange version of this jacket for quick deploy during very technical use in a marine environment where utility is the only consideration. I've only used it a few times so far but it's been excellent in each time in that I barely noticed it was there. The jacket is waterproof and breathes quite well; but then again that's its entire purpose. Aside from this, it's very lightweight and packable, so its easy to keep in my gear bag without being obtrusive. The zippers are very smooth and easy enough to grab with thinner gloves yet they don't budge when moving. The cinches are fairly easy to use. The material is very flexible and hasn't seemed to snag on anything too easily. The orange is very visible to those around you in extreme weather. Possibly downsides could include some thinking the sizing runs a bit long but it's a shell jacket, its supposed to, that's what the velcro on the wrists and the hood adjustment are for. I really like the extra room to wear over a wide variety of layers. The room in the hood is a good size for helmets if you need but the cinch on the back is pretty effective and it doesn't droop over your eyes when tightened. Due to gear worn over top of the jacket, I haven't utilized the pockets or pit zips yet so I can't comment on those. The waist cinch works well, but I do worry that the single cinch design might come out from where I tuck it and catch on something. This has not happened in use, hence the 5 star, but is something I was initially concerned about. Overall, great jacket, would recommend.

the best I ever known
I've been using all these years rain jackets, different brands, materials, prices, for trail, city running, hikes under the rain, sleet or wet snow (Montreal and parks around). We did a hike for about 8 hours under the rain, 100% dry inside this one. My wife has been using it for about 1.5 year, same with wet snow. Until now, it performs close to much pricier materials jackets, we'll see with time.

Perfect material but too long
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- XS
- Height:
- 5' 5"
- Weight:
- 132
i'm 5' 5" and felt the XS was still too long for me; the length went further than my behind and it was awkward to walk around. Arm length was fine though.

Lightweight and very packable
I won a Stormline jacket for my wife several years ago, and I’ve wanted my own ever since. Looking forward to using this on a trip to Switzerland in the fall.

Sizing Issue
I am sorry I did not get a chance to use this rain jacket, I had size problems. The Stormline Rain Jacket felt like it was built well. It just did not fit my body style. I have an athletic build, around my midsection it fit well, loose enough where I could layer underneath it, but was extremely tight in the shoulders. Just wearing a normal t-shirt underneath it was very tight, and not comfortable. I gave it to my son to wear.

Very comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- XL
This jacket is probably the most comfortable rain jacket I have worn…I have had Sitka, Kuiu, Patagonia, mt hardware, cabelas goretex, and north face…I’ve used it several times in the rain and it works great…the hood flaps can be slightly annoying but I’m more of a function over fashion guy. It seems quite breathable and the pit zips are a massive point!! Honestly this is the only thing that really makes a rain jacket breathable…but overall this is my most favorite rain jacket I have ever had…I got the XL and I am 6’2 215 and it fit perfect…even enough room to layer under it
